Hi Nairn! I can relate. Being in the business behind the business you do become fascinated with the personalities creating the items on display in the merchant faire. Especially someone like yourself who has a mind for writing and further reasoning beyond a color palette or type design. My husband is always baffled that something like a toothpaste brand could expect to have *followers* and rustle up interest in visiting their universal resource locator. And looking at the social sites that utopian linked did open my mind and eyes up to this advertiser's world and felt a little like gorging on a bag of the brightest colored junk food. i kept thinking, what ELSE could i be doing with my time. But learning about local, more progressive or unusual items or business decisions is definitely one of those geek interests that i feel awkward acknowledging that i'm are aware of when speaking to everyday people. like a guilty pleasure. it seems i've been cursed because most of what i'm interested in is rarely seen as acceptable for group conversation.
