Personally, I'll stick to black. I'm sure plenty of people will buy the colored models; the exact same people who will prefer to save a few hundred bucks. Thus, the 5S doesn't come in Rainbow Brite palettes.
Last, I will say that this is likely my last iPhone if I don't see some serious innovation from Apple on this front.
I get the sense that Apple painted themselves into a fixed-screen-size-model and aren't positive how to get themselves out of that. The iPhone 5 was a step forward, but I don't think Apple is sure how to leap forward into multi-size product lines without forcing a healthy amount more work onto app designers/devs. I could be totally wrong, but it's a thought. To compare, I find it incredibly arduous designing anything for Android that is not a responsive web app wrapped in Phonegap. You can of course do the same for iOS with Phonegap, but it doesn't seem to be the trend.
