    A new effort by smartphone thieves, to bypass the new iPhone fingerprint scanning technology. Criminals now have to take it a step up and cut off the finger of the original iPhone finger, in order to access the phone. "It's big money" says one iPhone thief. "It's messy! But very easy with a sharp knife, and plastic baggy. The good news is the victim lives afterwards. And I get $700 in my pocket. For me, that's a win- win for everyone. I foresee that we might be able to get a 2-for-1 deal here to sell back an owner's thumb."
