i've noticed since CS5 if you open a png or jpg in photoshop, make an edit (without adding layers) and hit save it actually saves as png or jpg (over your original file) rather than asking to save as a psd version (like it used to). googling how to switch it back only brings up old threads of retards requsting this as a feature FFS

    • that's how it always workedmonospaced
    • the pros of that outweigh the consfadein11
    • really? i have no way of checking... but been cmd+s to save as psd for years...kingsteven
    • rarely need to use that dialog for anything else. permanent 'save for web' claw.kingsteven
    • it only makes it a PSD if you make a change that requires it to be one, like adding a layer or adjustmentmonospaced
    • so, i should be congratulating myself for never having fucked that up before? excellentkingsteven
    • LOL @ only finding retards who want it.
