That seems like a clever way to "get out of" bombing. Obama and the US will look bad if we go back on our "word", but with a good out everyone stands to look good.
Nothing really needs to happen, just some brief stories, everyone patting each other on the back, nothing new in Syria.
Viola! Win/win for Russia, the US and diplomacy. Back to business as usual in Syria.
