I miss my rock days. Well, I miss playing shows, singing and playing guitar live. I miss one in every 10 practices.
I don't miss begging people to come to shows, the passive-aggressive arguments about song structure, the lack of excitement from other band members who didn't write or record shit when I brought 15+ songs, recorded, to practice so we'd have new stuff to pick from. Don't miss having to lie to band members about what time load out is, telling them it's a half hour before it really is so that when they show up half an hour late, they're actually on time (that went over really well, it was like I'd insulted a dude's mother to her face).
But I do really miss playing live.
- Music is so much bullshit, anyone who sticks it out is insane or is lucky quickly enough that it's worth it.mikotondria3
- Like the Lottery, it amplifies people's personalities, proving most people to be useless cunts, and elevating 2%.mikotondria3
