There's no post-rationalizing happening on my part.
I've just been able to connect with this work in a way that I previously hadn't - and all interpretations of that are my own (and to that end, subjective).

I was initially critical of this (see page 1 of this thread).
But seeing it in its completion and recognizing the process it took to get that content (and the "here's the plan" mentality vs. what happens when feelings happen and child-hood neurosis enter the fray, etc.) is what makes the project interesting for me.

The participating designer's work (while mostly good) DOES turn into a bit of a NY-design-circle-jerk, I'll grant you that.

I read things in their posts that I could personally relate to - and that built value for me. For instance, I thought it was particularly interesting to see the event from both sides (what was omitted by one was the focus of the other, etc.) I go through a similar process with my own wife sometimes and it was comforting and challenging to see it written out, back-to-back like that. I don't expect everyone to have the same experience - but trashing it, as I have in the past, negates a lot of work - and its this time of self-exploratory and communal work that will end up elevating our industry (you may disagree with this project, specifically, but the more we're exploring, thinking and experimenting as designers the better). I apologize for the snarkiness in my last post.
