Anyone on here that makes more house/techno or step-sequenced beats should look at Numerology: http://five12.com/
This software works perfectly with the Novation Launchpad and essentially makes it a hardware step sequencer. It's modular in design, but can function like a regular 16 step sequencer. I've been using it for a few years and really can't recommend it enough.
