not exactly a hoilday story but friday night after the bar i got to use an actual Samurai sword, it ruled, it was like Samurai Baseball™ we were throwing clemintines, potatos, onions, eggs anythiing we could find and slicing them in half with the blade, it was so sharp. it went right though a 1/2 pint of ice cream. good time.
