If you truly believe the idea could make you good money then invest the time and money yourself into taking it forward so you reap all the end cash.
You could try and excite a developer friend about the idea, he/she might want in on the action and are willing to put their own time in too.
Showing to a company though is always going to be risky, particularly if they've got a bit of cash or a dev team behind them and would be able to beat you to market with the idea.
