i was looking for a beat counter a few months ago when i was setting up a dj archive site, and again a couple years ago, and a few more times over the past 10 years.
Besides the caveman means of slapping the spacebar or clicking or whatever, I haven't seen any automatic ones that worked correctly.
I've downloaded a few (lost the links purposely in disappointment), and every one either counted nothing or locked up the resources far to much to care.
That's all pc, maybe you'll be luckier with mac... Anyone have anything that really works and well on either pltform, and a beer or 3 will be owed to you. (id3 tags or not)
