"My answer to skeptics: Rome wasn't built overnight. I grew up incredibly poor in a single parent household my entire adolescent life with my two sisters (Colleen and Natasha) and my mother who supported us with food stamps while working at J.C. Penney as a retail clerk for minimum wage. I'm not looking for sympathy or a handout. I've never had money, I've never had the luxury of time, resources and freedom to truly think about or work on this, until now. My upbringing has defined who I am and has made me appreciate everything I have ever worked for. I've been fortunate enough to work directly for Nike and Adidas on a high level in the last few years and I didn't understand the value and significance of this design, nor the industry I was designing this for, until now. I believe 1,000% in this idea and the potential for great packaging and have worked very, very hard to post this idea online, today, now. I moved to Portland, Oregon back in 2009 with no money, no job and no connections. I have clawed my way up from the depths of obscurity to work on some amazing projects all while meeting some amazing and truly talented individuals. I've worked on launch kits for Microsoft and retail design for major shoe manufacturers and have yet to see a solution so simple that solves for so many issues. This is my ace and I will do everything in my power to make this dream a reality. Thank you for your time and interest."
