My wife has an uncle who is one of those guys who, every year, is waiting for the next greatest TV breakthrough to come out before he buys a flat panel tv. All he has is an old tube TV I think. He's a sweet guy, a retired mail man, but he will never buy a new one because he has that mindset where once he has it, something better will come along.
It's funny to be around him and her dad and another uncle at the holidays. They're always jabbering about something with tvs or computers: "you know, they're coming out with the blah blah that thing that's gonna do X better than the other thing..."
