he's not retiring though he said so he has 10 more fights left, he just doesn't want to fight for the belt. He's been saying for years he just wants to focus on his family and not the championship. Which to me lends more cred to the theory that he threw the fight. There's no way that was a knock out punch, it was a lame ass left handed hook and Silva can take a punch.
I think this fight was meant to be an exit strategy for semi-retirement. Happens in boxing. Its not worth getting into 5 round wars the rest of your career just to keep a belt. He's going to go down as the best ever and he can always redeem himself in his next fights without having to risk himself physically and mentally.
