Our intention on day rates is quite far removed from creating a 'labor truck'. You put what you feel you are worth, and if you are the best match for a job, you are returned top of the list. There is no search on price, no bidding on jobs and no race to the bottom. Which is the business model of most comparable sites.

Ultimately we are trying to supply a service to both halves of the marketplace, and the half that will be paying for it don't want to have to phone or email everyone to find out how much they charge. Just like they don't want to have to phone everyone to find out if they know Rails, or if they are free next week.

It's not going to be for everyone, and if you really feel uncomfortable, you can always put in $1.

We do appreciate your feedback, but as Mike says, we can't act on every individuals comments.

    • I can appreciate that. Just wanted to know why it was required information.cannonball1978
    • You could jsut as well make it optional, and if people are happy to supply it knowing it makes things easier they wouldcannonball1978
