    This was such a bummer.

The cops used excessive force whichever way you want to want to cut the situation. I 100% blame them for the situation. Taser, mace, stick, or just letting the owner calm it down would have been fine. An actual perceptive police officer (we are 0 for 4 with these guys) would have asked the man to roll up his windows and then called animal control. The second the dog was barking, they should have let the owner calm him down and roll up the windows, it wasn't like they needed him in custody like he was the FBI's #1 Most Wanted. That dog was that mans pet, and sadly acted like a dog, so he most likely didn't see the peril from a protective dog in that situation.

Too many of these videos exist. And all of them have the same unfortunate thoughtless result.

Also, since when do uniformed officers get to carry semi-automatic rifles? That's kinda scary. I thought that was reserved for SWAT.

    • EXACTLY! THIS <<<monospaced
    • I 100% blame the owner for the situation, since he was being a dickface.404NotFound
