Despite what your car "tells" you, or what the manual says, just open the fucking hood, check the dipstick every week or so, and change or top off accordingly. This is seriously the fucking LEAST you could do for something you likely paid a ton for. People seriously don't respect their vehicles, it makes no sense to me. I see people ignore these things like they're little (which they are!) and then end up paying up the ass when they have to correct for simple negligence.
