a reminder that your safety and welling being is the responsibility of yourself. the obligation of protection is not placed on the local authorities. Not for one second does this assailant fear a phone call to the police. in fact his action indicate that by simply overpowering, you *will* comply. The world hasn't changed to worse, it's always been this way. now, this women hasn't done anything wrong. no mistake on her part, she's lucky to be alive and in good condition.
this serves as a reminder that living in a world where nothing bad can happen or nothing like this, naive.the world is wonderfully vast place; be prepared.
