^ as previously mentioned ... I had images but I wanted to broaden the net to see if something better than what we had been submitted appeared, which is what we eventually did through our own social media channels and we got something really nice. There were two ways I could have produced the spread: as a passenger submitted photograph: I knew some people here had flown the airline previously and had had a keen interest in photography as a hobby; or, as an amateur/professional photographer's shot/hobbyist's shot of one of our destinations. In either case, the story behind would have to have been 100% genuine. If nothing came from, and in the event it didn't, fine, it was not a big deal. Like I say, my intentions were 100% honest throughout. Ethical/journalistic integrity considerations such as these, whether on deadline or not, are always paramount. I didn't/don't want to get into that territory, even a little, ever. As I've also mentioned, I'm a straight up guy, I was trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, or cheat someone out of a living through speculating.

    • But pr2, I certainly take on board your points. Being a primarily a site for visual creatives, it, perhaps, wasn't the most efficient way to broaden the net. I will know in future! Thanks for your input.

    • ... intelligent way to broaden the net. Thin-skins abound, and probably they are thin with justifiable reason. Lesson learned! Thanks for your considered input. And thanks too to the QBN community ... for the most part.
