You would think that one of the starting criteria would be, 'Let's NOT produce anything that is too similar to anything that is on the market already.'
So half way through this re-design, no one at Apple thought to do a "Step back and assess"? No one in the Ive team said, "Yo, John! That Helvetica Neue Light font combined with those more-flattened icons looks a bit similar to something... And it looks a bit like a kids play phone with those colourful icons"

Then design some flat colourful shit. May be add some tiles in there...?pang - spot onHombre_Lobo
