If your working in Leeds then don't even consider living in Manchester. the travel everyday is annoying.
Manchester is actually a lot better culture and city than Leeds. I being biased i know but its mainly because i think Leeds is full of pretentious pricks.
As for a place in Leeds, send me an email. My best mate is a landlord and owns 4 big houses so i can ask if he has any spare rooms and then introduce you both if you want.
