Ok, I had an A snowboard, Atlantis and now I bought a rome (happy with it). All I can say is if you can try to test the board first.

Shop often have boards to test, or your favorit spot has a test center during summer. Try to go there and ride the ones you like to see if they fit.

All I know is try to get a board "made" of wood (woodcore) not one of those "plastique" ones, they loose there shape faster...

Friends who had forums where really happy the first year, but they "where" made to resiste only one year, really light boards (hope it changed)

About the boots, you have 2 big differencies, those with these adaptive thermoflexinsidecore (ex thirtytwo, forum)...
or the others (northwave)... I prefere the others, already formed... But this you have also to try (at least at the shop)...

    bindings...
I prefere the standard bindings with base. (no flow, no step-in)

    keep the snow white
