yes, pretty open minded about the web as medium and how it evolves continually.
intothearctic works pretty well on last generations mobiles. this mobile things are getting lots of cpu/ram power (man, think about what's coming in 1-5 generations). and mobile is a big number in webstats, page-hits. + page is open to search engines and other crawlers. and it prints better than flash ever did, ok maybe not so important, but it's a +.
about the tools, I think it's the browsers and AdobeCS. chrome/safari with webkit dev tools are powerfull things you get for free right know. and for the design, well ps/ai/fw/.../flash and the new adobe ones muse, edge things and so on.
