Something I learned and started using myself while freelancing at an agency:
Only present concepts to a client that you like. If you show the client a concept that you're not happy with, chances are they will choose that one and you'll end up hating the project (and the client in time). If you only have one concept that you're happy with, show that one concept and sell it as the right concept.
