    Non competes are usually when you either:

    1. Want to make sure an employee doesn't jump ship and try to take business (that'd be you)
    2. Forming partnerships with someone that could use the info you bring to them without you.

    I use non compete/NDAs all the time. I also sign them all the time. And yes, they carry significant legal weight if written well.

    • Most regions will NOT upload any contract that prevents you from earning a living in a trained field.

    • The difference is when you are paid some sort of pay-out, fee or bonus related to non-compete beyond a standard wage.ETM
