    pango:

I have taken my dslr and a wide angle lens too while riding on bear mtn in the past. I had it on my back pack most of the time, but will stop to take photos of my buddies while they were doing tricks on a box or something.

Then I got a gopro, and it's a no brainer now. If you fall nothing happens, you can shoot video too and there's all sorts of attachements / accessories for it which will make riding and shooting super easy.

nowhere near the control and quality from a dslr, but you will also be able to take photos/ video that you probably won't be able to get with a dslr, mainly due to portability/ attachements, etc
