^ yes its sick. The biggest element I found missing from other FPS games was the size. I always kept wanting more people, bigger maps and a sense of full scaled combat and this covers that extremely well. Not only can the battles be very large it has an excellent hierarchical system with outfits, platoons, and squads, so you can join a group of people in game and effectively be given orders from more experienced higher up players. Or you can just go out on your own and do your own thing, which is fun too because you can pull infiltrator style special operations or just explore. There is three teams playing at once which adds a new level to what can happen while fighting over territory. Also sort of a large learning curve so you have to stay at it a bit to really have fun with it. Its tough to play casually, unlike TF2, until you know what you are doing.
It kind of just copies Halo, Battlefield and COD in certain ways but none of them have the scale. It is graphics heavy though so you need a good grfx card. I only get like 20 FPS at 1080 so I play at a lower res, still looks solid though.
It is free but they've done a great job of creating an upgrading and micro payment system which will make anybody who plays it a while need to spend money. The free players just kind of populate it for the paid players. I haven't spent anything on it yet but I heard some guy say the other night that he spent like $300 just on his jet aircraft thing. This type of system done well soaks up cash.
