It's total bullshit, actually. While it's obviously disastrous to drink your calories, there's no long-term study that says that singling out beverage sizes will actually impact anything, and I bet there's no way to actually measure the effectiveness of the program in the long-term because while I might not be able to order a 20oz Coke, I can still get that large McFlurry. The whole thing makes sense until you realize it doesn't even address most fattening beverages. Additionally, it won't apply to grocery stores, so I anyone can still buy 2 liter bottles of anything they want. And finally, now I can't go to a movie theater and buy a large Diet Coke to share with my girlfriend. The whole thing might mean well, but in the end it is unfocused.
