My strict super religious neighbors kicked their 18 year old son out of the house for smoking weed in the bathroom. He's a good kid, I've known him since his pre teens and felt kind of bad for him. He wasn't allowed back in the house until he went through rehab (which I thought was a little extreme) and since he was legally an adult they couldn't force him to go so he was living on the streets and couch surfing for the past few months.
He's recently moved back with them again and I've only made small talk with him but he told me we was going back to school to get his GED. I have no idea if he went through a program or not. I've been meaning to talk to him more and tell him that I used to be almost just like him and to stop fuckin' around but it's possible to smoke out and still go to school, graduate, get a decent job and house.
The past few night's I've been woken up by someone coughing on the side of my house between 1am-2am. Sunday night I actually looked out my bedroom window to see him sparking up a bowl and coughing his lungs out. It happened again last night so I went out and yelled at him. I told him I didn't care if he got high just don't do it on the side of my house because his hacking up a lung has been keeping me up at night. I told him to walk down the block into the woods or onto the neighborhood playground and if I heard him again I would narc him out to his parents.
The funny thing is that I was still high as shit myself from smoking my vaporizer and watching season 2 of Workaholics until way past midnight.
