If you stay in the Downtown area, everything is pretty accessible on foot. That being said, some of our hills are ridiculous. Staying on Capitol Hill will give you great shopping, food, and music. There are great parks on Capitol Hill as well. Fremont and Ballard are great little excursions too. Ballard has an outdoor market every Sunday which is definitely worth checking out. There are some amazing restaurants there as well.

For food/bars on Capitol Hill look up: Quinn, Barrio, Tavern Law, Canon, Presse, 8oz Burger, Oddfellows Cafe, Fogon, Linda's, The Bait Shop, Highline (especially if vegan/veg), The Saint, Montana, Dinette, and anything from Ethan Stowell.

Music/Dancing in Downtown or Capitol Hill: Q Night Club, Neumos, Electric Tea Garden, Showbox Market, The Crocodile, and The Comet.

Sights to see: Volunteer Park, Cal Anderson Park, Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle Art Museum, The Fremont Troll, Ballard Locks, Gasworks Park, and Madison Park/Beach (if the weather isn't miserable).
