This happens to me every few months. To fix it i just go Tools > Internet Options > Delete Temporary Internet Files.
Then it take over 5 minutes for them to get deleted for some reason, maybe because i have it set to 700 MB, but afterwards view page source works fine again. Also, when i can't view page source somtimes i can also only save images from sites as bmp (no gif or jpg option), clearing those temp file also fixes that problem to.
