Exactly. It is so absurd it literally gives me a headache when I read "gotta protect..."..."cars kill..."....blah blah blah.
Then again, 50% of the country thinks giving wealthy tax breaks is a good idea too.
I'll never underestimate the power of mob marketing and fear mongering. It is the most successful marketing campaign ever, that, and the "trickle down theory". Genius marketing, really.
The irony is that everyone was so scared about terrorists that they sat by and watched the gov't take insane power from the people, all the while cheering on.
If the gov't wants to take power, that is how they will do it. They don't need armies, some idiot with a closet full of guns will be hauled off in a millisecond. There will be no "organization" and "militia".
Personally, I can't think anyone with a high school degree really believes that crap, they just spout it out so they can keep their "toys".
