So, according to that "assault rifle definition" above, and AR-15 is NOT an assault weapon because it does not have a selective full auto mode? WTF. Never mind that it is the civilian/legal version of the M-16. Is an M-16 with the full auto taken out (as many are) no longer an assault rifle?? Jesus.
Or how about a H&K MP5...not an assault rifle because it fires "pistol rounds"?? WTF. Never mind that it is a favorite weapon of many elite squads.
I guess an M-10 and M-11 aren't either, even though they are/were a favorite for drive by assassinations. And an Uzi, too, is NOT an assault weapon.NOT an assault weapon:
