All of recruiters take a cut but CC is the biggest cons of all the creative industry. Avoid them at all costs. I've heard they pay freelance $30-$40 per hour and bill the client $100-$120 per hour. They spam email for talent and blast tons of candidates at gigs until one sticks. They own you once you sign a contract with them it takes 1 year to get off their "list". So ask to get off their list asap. I had to ask them numerous times before they would take me off their spam emails. I believe there are some negative reviews on the web about their practices as well... I call them Creative Circle Jerks.
