I'm not really into this stuff. Stupid shitty little apps that do pissy little things and in the process turn human beings into gormless smiling individuclones, so forgive me if this is a really dumb theory, but could this be an attempt by Facebook to actually kill Instagram for some reason, maybe so they can introduce their own version which gets round some contractual stuff related to their buyout of Instagram? It just seems like an obvious, no-brainer, brick-drop to the toes manouvre that could only ever piss everyone off and send them searching for alternative apps to use, that I can't believe they'd do this without knowing what the result would be.
Its not like they'll suddenly clean up in image sales. I can't imagine the value of a mugged instagram image would be that high even if a successful image was located amongst the billions available for a client who needed an image.
I'm perplexed, but then again I'm totally perplexed by the whole world of apps, and smart mobile slidey-screen hardware anyway.
