i dont think anything needs to happen. Any desire for a need to happen seems like a false sense of security at a loss of rights. The rights part is the most important. If you want to ban guns youre no better than the conservative trying to ban gay marriage. Your means to justify safety of people is no better than theirs to justify the union of marriage. Its all personal and selfish. And still ahrd not to blame the motive the media creates. Im interested to hear what is said about this ones motive. Im pretty sure its for attention of some sort.

    • how about gun control? you can still own a gun. it's just tougher. deadly weapons requires more effort to acquire.pango
    • fair enough i say.pango
    • fair enough but isnt there already a ton of that?
      ********
    • what regulation will will get good results while maintaining individual freedom that hasnt been proposed and done?
      ********
    • perhaps not enough? it's still way easier to get gun in the states than any other country.pango
    • well most important thing is to maintain the "right to bear arms" but it doesn't say what type of arms. :P start with that perhaps.pango
    • but at what cost to rights? and is the violent crime related to gun control or something else like media? Every country is different socially
      ********
    • different socially. Does aussies regard fame like americans do?
      ********
    • so different that american killed by guns are more than other countries exponentially.pango
    • How is the aussie non fatal crime rate? Knives and the such. And im ok with background checks, especially for felons.
      ********
    • for felons. i just dont liek the panic call to ban all arms peopel fall into when this happens and the hypocrisy of it
      ********
    • well not all guns. Just those types specifically designed to kill a lot of people.pango
    • I just hate the blind call for regulation wihtout any desire to understand the regulation or what it means but to feel satisfied something happened
      ********
    • use this as a template perhaps.pango
    • http://www.qbn.com/t…pango
    • this guy killed the kids with 2 9mms i heard on the news. wether that is true it seems liek sub machine gun regs wouldnt have helped
      ********
    • have helped
      ********
    • ya ya i agree. as long as the regulation maintains the "right to bear arms" everything should be fine.pango
    • the japan route seems liek it benefits organizations that tax you for your right to own a gun. to lobbyist for me
      ********
    • it might help but seems to excessive for my taste personally
      ********
    • he purchase the gun with his mom's ID and license. i say that's a really loose regulation.pango
    • i dont even own a gun. have thoguth about picking one up jsut for emergency. ahte to have to go through the japan hoops for such a thing
      ********
    • let's put aside lobbyist making money. they are already making tons of money keeping the regulation loose.pango
    • style hoops for personal safety and thoguht of mind. of course id take course in gun control on my own
      ********
    • moms ID? didnt hear that but if thats the case than id say not a failure of regulation but of shop owner
      ********
    • well deadlier arms should definitely be tougher to get. I think pro gun and not so pro gun people can both agree with.pango
    • Im on board with regualtion but not excessive tax and cost. A small inconvenience to prevetn crime of passion im ok with, but we have that..
      ********
    • we have that so i dont know
      ********
    • its tough walking the line of regualtion and deciding what u are comfortable with for freedom and neglecting what other sfeels free with
      ********
    • i know my own limits of regualtion but i cant say they are best. i can argue my reasons but in the end at soem level im a hypocrite
      ********
    • level im a hypocrite
      ********
    • the idea that violence is a preferred way to end a conflictyoungdesigner
    • also the media plays a part hereyoungdesigner
    • these guys that commit these acts are often loners or guys who feel isolated and ostracizedyoungdesigner
    • and what better way to call attention to yourself by going out with a bangyoungdesigner
    • there will be endless reports
journalists talking about who was so-and-so and what made him tick
      youngdesigner
    • I dont know the answeryoungdesigner
    • but I do know it is not in simply banning gunsyoungdesigner
    • or making sure everyone has a gunyoungdesigner
    • it's gonna take a lot more than thatyoungdesigner
    • gotta sleep. i'll argue with you internet people tmr.pango
    • last words... tougher regulation does not equal banning all guns.pango
    • But why focus on regulation?youngdesigner
    • This tragedy obviously had nothing to do with gun violence or laws, it had to do with a psychotic 'person' who went on a murder spree.youngdesigner
    • went on a murder spree.youngdesigner
    • Literally hundreds of gun homicides are committed daily, are not covered by the media.youngdesigner
    • And these are usually the ones that are assosiated with the illegal firearm market and gun crime (gang shootings).youngdesigner
    • People are using a terrible tragedy to take manipulate everyones emotions.youngdesigner
    • Then they can put pressure on the president to push his bill through, and if he doesnt they will blame him.youngdesigner
    • Now, the right wing nuts respong by throwing theyre flag in the air and suddenly, everyone is arguing about gun control.youngdesigner
    • EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED.youngdesigner
