Im sickened that its on every news station getting every rubber necked person to watch. Shit happens move on. Could it be that the fact everyone wants to watch and talk about or pander and use it for their own motives creates a primary incentive for lunatics to go shoot up some shit. I cant get 100 million like on my youtube video to feel good about myself or express my self and get people to watch, well i might as well go shoot up some kids. It's the easiest attention grabbing thing u can do for instant warped idea of 15 minutes of fame with hope someone will make a movie out of it or talk about u. Ted Kaczynski had more tact. And every organization loves this shit to pander to what ever side they want for financial or emotional gains.
And as far as gun rights go it should be a mute point. Number one to own a gun is a right. That's about it. To defend the the stance of abolishing guns is to stand by the abolishment of liquer, to say gays have no rights to marry, that women have no freedom to choose, that you know better how someone should choose to live than they do. That just plain hypocrisy and ignorance.
And to the idea of regulation. A compromise on safety and freedom. Have all the strict rules in place made anything safer? Shit apparently still happens, and probably will still keep happening. Some regulations help and others just cost a lot of money. But I don't think regulation at all is a fault nor would i call for more so i can have a false sense of safety. If you think about it our prison system is a closed off uber secure system that fails to regulate drugs and violence. Why would anyone think better results could be had by regulation outside? Ban guns totally and you create an advantage for those who would do harm.
If anything i blame the media feeding us with our morbid fantasies to look at car wrecks.Maybe im apathetic or old school but really i dont care there was a shooting. Im not really interested in seeing it. I dont know the people and the only way i see it effect me is if it cuts down on my freedom. I prefer the news talk more about the mars rover or something of substance than just tragedy. watch some looney tunes or something but dont let hem fool you into thinking its a big deal. Hell the US has more civilian casualties in war activity than this everyday probably and we dont give a shit, so why make a pedestal for every homeland lunatic.
