    that short sightedness would support the lack of an effective Israeli military strategy (laying siege to gaza and blocking them off from the outside, air strikes and occasional ground incursions). They have to admit it isn't working and these actions lead to greater levels of palestinian humiliation/frustration/anger and international exasperation.

    i was talking to someone last night about the religious dimension to the conflict - i.e. the preparation of Israel for the second coming and how this dimension alone, while probably forgotten by many, would explain the total madness of the situation.
