Here's what I don't understand: How is it possible that voting machines and processes for a federal election are up to states to decide what to use and how to use them? Every election I'm amazed at the variety of voting methods, and the fact that electronic voting is allowed at all. Ballots that use pencils or ink to fill in a line. Punch ballots. Electronic ballots. Too wide a range of methods I think. I don't know what the answer is; I'm just surprised that this isn't fully regulated at the national level.
