  Yeah I got my current job via linkedin and have received multiple job offers via it in the last few months. Very good tool to reach out to senior people in agencies and of course recruiters, which is not necessarily easy if you don't know specifically who they are.

  I get next to no spam from people wanting to join my network, every person I'm connected to I have worked with/for in some capacity.
