    You know, another thing I get tired of hearing is Solyndra. Yeah, it failed. It cost a lot. But if you want to innovate, it takes trial and error. Green is the future. Don't agree, then why the fuck are the Chinese pumping so much government money into it?

    I know times are shit. But you won't dig yourself out without some innovation. The mentality is just make more money. Fuck middle America. I'm rich, my money is in other countries anyway.

    If the Space program started out as a private venture it would never have taken off. So much money and failure went into that. But guess what, exploration aside, we now have satellites, GPS etc. It ushered the U.S. into another era of prosperity and greatness. It inspired school kids to be something, scientists, astronauts. What do kids aspire to now, hedge fund investor?

    But if the mentality is always... make money right away or kill it. Such a thing will likely not happen again. I'm not saying green is for sure that next thing, but you'll never find it again, unless risks are taken, and more than just dividends is the primary motivation for everything. There is no hope, no drive, no aspiration. No greatness.
