It's not about the idea of drawing/visualising something using type.
It's even not about drawing a map using type.

Everyday lots of people around the world have the same ideas, but by the personal style of the different creators each result is a unique artwork. All the examples above have different style, because the artists worked with different rules, e.g. use lines in addition to type – or not? Use shapes in addition to type – or not? Distort type – or not Crop characters – or not? Rotate type – or not? Use a grid – or not? Make it hand drawn or digital? Use type as texture or as words, respectively information? Make it look vintage or trendy or whatever?
Should it be accurate or just look cool?

Thanks for the comments. That's why I asked – I was (and still am) insecure how important the personal touch has to be, to make something unique. It was not meant to be a denunciation, it was meant as a question for other points of view.

    • personal touch is always important. dynamic typography is important too. work on yours a little and make them less stiff and more fun, they'll look really good.newuser
    • then they'll look really good.newuser
