    I am constantly and unwaveringly excited by the promise of such sitings, and then immediately disappointed on viewing the evidence.

    So obviously just a bunch of lanterns in an airstream moving at a different pace to ground winds and the cloud level. Within that airstream there are other faster streams, hence one of them seeming to charge ahead.

    I am a believer. I want to believe. I think you just got freaked out by a perfectly normal moment.
