google provides valuable services that are well implemented in exchange for that info. i don't mind if they have my contacts. (better there than outlook) i don't mind that they store my banking login. ( no password just the login; i have a few of them and i want universal access) i don't mind that they have my printer or most of my music because again they provide amazing cloud based printing and google music just freaken is convenient.

i guess what im trying to get at is ill pay extra for more cloud or gmail storage, ill upload my music or photos or any other information i deem necessary but that's because google will make competitive tools and services that are just better than the alternative. do we even use any other map tool or web search?! and try setting up exchange server ..pain in the ass.

I trust that google wants my business, what does facebook give me? more spammy emails and pokes.

(that's not to say i think google is the only route, im not trying to convert anyone but for me it works. i mean google probably has a list of every work i misspell and i dont mind as long as they correct my spelling.)
