Personally I don't like Lacie. I had a nas drive and it was slow, flaky and had a lot of issues.
we use this guy in our studio, I imagine its pretty similar to set up as the Lacie and its been running for the past 6 or so years with very few issues. Only 4 bay though, I don't know if thats a deal breaker for you though. Its fast, from 3 to 6 people working off it simultaneously with no noticible lag. There may well be a newer version with more bells and whistles, but this is solid, reliable and runs 24/7.
