Solution: take all the people from China and all the people from Japan who claim to care about the islands, put them all there, and then let them fight it out a la Battle Royale. Once they all die of starvation and both governments can talk it out like adults, a deal can be reached and things can carry on. Also, their skeletons can be pushed into the sea to make a delightfully unique artificial reef. Ta-da!
