^ Yeah, it was a mental leap for me. Around this time last year I realized I was going to the same places and seeing the same people, day after day, year after year.
I felt suffocated and panicked at the thought of how little time we have on this planet. I had this vision of me at 85 years old on my deathbed, with no stories to tell. Enough was enough... It was time to get the hell out. I quit my job and sold my place. Then sat around for months trying to figure out what I'm gonna do. I poked around a few potential cities here in the US, but then said fuck it, I'm gonna do what I've always wanted to do... Italy. Heard the best way to get your foot in the door is with a student visa. So here I am, just two weeks away.
The process as a whole was daunting (quitting a job, selling a home, possessions, enrolling in school, finding an apartment in Italy, the visa process, etc.). But if you take it one step at a time you'll be at the doorstep of where you want to be.
