    time machine just copies everything. i only want certain things copied that are not on my internal hd

    • that is pre-10.8. now you can chose files or directories to exclude from tm.uan
    • im on 10.6.8 can i set time machine to copy files from an external hd to another external hdJG_LB
    • I meant 10.5 btw. and yes, that should work: timemachine preferences, Options, remove external drive from exclude.uan
    • and add internal drive to exclude list.uan
