^ Laws won't fix the crazy, but the right laws would make it easier to catch them in the planning stages.
Gun nuts disingenuously assert gun laws can only take the form of "nobody can own guns!!!!!" but that's patently false. Licensing, ammo restrictions, background checks, storage/transport requirements, et cetera et cetera, make spree killing harder and create speed bumps and red tape ideal for alerting authorities when someone is fixin' to do some spree killing. Someone intent on killing would either have to find another way, or meticulously plan it out months or years ahead (and maybe have to commit other crimes just to make their planned one possible).
