D90 Raw Question

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to do some tests soon of JPG vs. RAW and see what they look like together in Bridge. Obviously, I like shooting RAW for the editing capabilities, but as I'm going through 2,500 photos from our vacation in June, there's usually not a fast way of just batch processing many of them without individual editing.
In the Adobe Raw editor, I did click the "Default" button that appears in the tools to the right of the photo. Surprisingly, the quality changed instantly and I feel that it may have actually put it in the Vivid mode settings in the editor. Because, before when "Auto" was selected, the photo was very lifeless. After pressing Default, it really looked more like what I took. I wish I'd tried this with a B&W because that would be excellent if it indeed changed it to the aspects of when I took it.
